Payment Suite to provide payment processing
Tuesday 10th March 2009 - NEOVIA Financial Plc (LSE: NEO), the independent global online payments business, has been chosen by three separate county councils to process payments for products and services using the NEOVIA Payment Suite.
The NEOVIA Payment Suite features the NETBANX international payments gateway, the NETELLER e-wallet and Net+™ cards. NETBANX allows merchants to accept card and non-card payments through multiple channels including online, contact centres, mail order and via automated phone systems. The NETELLER e-wallet allows consumers to spend securely online as well as allowing merchants to increase customer lifetime value. Net+ cards allow merchants to extend customer loyalty and lifetimes. As well as cards, the NEOVIA Payment Suite supports online payments direct from consumers’ online bank accounts using the POLi service.
The three separate new contract wins are:
West Sussex County Council provides services for more than 750,000 residents in the South of England. NEOVIA will be providing its payment suite, which means the council will be able to efficiently handle payments for specialist publications and research services.
Kent County Council looks after one of the largest counties in England with 1.3 million residents. As one of the many services it provides, Kent County Council offers one-day training courses for anyone who wants to learn to drive a minibus, which can now be paid for over the internet using the payment suite.
Oxfordshire County Council, which employs over 20,000 staff to deliver services to Oxfordshire's 615,000 people, is using the payment suite so that students can pay online and enrol on adult education courses.
Dan Starr, Executive Vice President of the Merchant Services division at NEOVIA, said: “Local government organisations are increasingly looking to increase their revenue from commercial activities to lighten the load on the council tax payer, and therefore need to process payments efficiently.”
